Embrace Community Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Orchard Hills, NSW .

n

This role is suited to someone who has a genuine passion for supporting people with disability and has the confidence, patience, and experience to work with complex support needs . You will provide person-centred support while promoting the participant’s independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing.

About the Role n

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

n

n
1. Provide person-centred support to a participant with complex support needs.
n
2. Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, and household tasks.
n
3. Support community access, recreational activities, and social engagement.
n
4. Provide emotional support and build a positive, respectful relationship with the participant.
n
5. Follow individualised support plans and behaviour support strategies where required.
n
6. Maintain the participant’s dignity, privacy, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
n
7. Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in the participant’s needs and behaviour.
n
8. Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
n
9. Work collaboratively with the participant, family, support team, and other professionals.
n
10. Follow Embrace Community Care policies, procedures, NDS requirements, and relevant legislation.

What We’re Looking For n





We are looking for a female support worker with a strong background in disability support , particularly someone who is confident working with complex clients and challenging situations .

The ideal candidate will have:

n

n
1. Previous experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or a related sector.
n
2. Experience supporting clients with complex support needs is highly desirable.
n
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
4. A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
n
5. The ability to build trust and positive relationships with participants.
n
6. A genuine commitment to promoting independence and quality of life.
n
7. Ability to follow support plans, policies, and professional directions.
n
8. Robust understanding of participant rights, dignity, privacy, and safeguarding.
n
9. Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
n
10. Valid Australian driver’s licence.
n
11. NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
12. Working With Children Check (WWCC).
n
13. National Police Check.
n
14. NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
n
15. Australian working rights.
n
