About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate educator to undertake the role of Senior Years Pastoral Care Leader (Clan Guardian) in an acting capacitycommencingTerm 12027, concluding at the end of Term 3 2027.

In partnership withCollegeleaders,the Clan Guardian works withhomegroup teachers and families, you will lead and coordinate pastoral care initiatives that promote student wellbeing,engagementand personal growth. You will be a visible and approachable presence within the school community, supporting students to thrive academically,sociallyand emotionally while helping to strengthen Clan culture and connectedness.

This position includes a teachingcomponentand should be read in conjunction with the responsibilities of a teaching role.The key responsibilities are to:

Build strong pastoral relationships with students in Years 10-12 and support their wellbeing, personalgrowthand engagement.

Lead and implement wellbeing and pastoral care programs that respond to the needs of individual students and year levels.

Collaborate with families, teachers,counsellorsand College leaders to support student outcomes.

Mentor student leaders and oversee Clan activities,meetingsand community-building initiatives.

Support student transitions, orientationprogramsand leadership development opportunities.





Lead Clan events and contribute to key College activities including sporting and community events.

Maintainaccuratepastoral records and manage administrative requirements associated with student care and wellbeing.

About you:

The successful candidate willdemonstrate:

Experience leading pastoral care,wellbeingor student development initiatives.

A strong understanding of adolescent development and contemporary wellbeing practices.

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

The ability to mentor, coach and inspire both students and colleagues.

Sound judgement,empathyand the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

A collaborative leadership style and commitment to the values and culture of the College.
