Job Description
n
Youturns Specialist Homelessness Service
n
provides a range of short-term, crisis and refuge accommodation and outreach, working to support singles, couples, and families over the age of 16, through their crisis housing situation as they move towards independent living.
n
We aim to reduce the number of people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by providing supported accommodations, assertive outreach, and centre-based support.
n
The Opportunity
n
As Team Leader, you will provide operational leadership and guidance to Support Workers and Case Officers, ensuring high-quality service delivery across our Accommodation and Outreach programs.
You'll also contribute to the development of service procedures and case management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and support a team delivering homelessness intervention and case management.
n
- Coordinate initial client assessments and oversee the development of individualised support plans.
n
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with funding requirements.
n
- Maintain service manuals and contribute to continuous improvement.
n
- Represent Youturn in community forums and networks.
n
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
n
n
Desired Skills and Experience
n
You are a values-driven leader with a strong understanding of homelessness and housing support services. You bring empathy, professionalism, and a team-oriented spirit to your work.

Essential Criteria
n
n
- Cert IV in Social Housing or equivalent experience.
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or related field.
n
- Demonstrated experience in homelessness/social housing.
n
- Strong knowledge of client-centred case management.
n
- Skilled in recognising and managing potential risks
n
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and leadership skills.
n
- Current Open Driver's Licence and eligibility for a Blue Card.
n
