We are a busy specialist practice located within the St John of God Specialist Centre in Berwick. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic person with a strong customer focus to join our team. This position will be the first point of contact for our practice and therefore requires strong customer service skills.

Qualifications & experience

- Exceptional customer service, data entry and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and workload
- Ability to work as a team member and contribute to a productive team
- Confident computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Experience within a healthcare setting
- knowledge of Xestro is highly regarded but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

- Managing incoming calls and patient enquiries
- Liaise and assist patients in a warm, compassionate and professional manner




- Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
- Booking and coordinating appointments
- Managing correspondence, referrals and medical documentation
- Process payments and Medicare transmissions
- Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff
- Maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy

About the Role

As part of our reception team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth daily operation of the practice.

What We Offer

- Part-time position – 3 to 4 days per week
- Days: Monday to Friday on a 4 week rotating schedule
