the Orange Ex-Services' Club Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our newly renovated Diggers Restaurant as we prepare to reopen an exciting new chapter in our hospitality offering.

This is a rare opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader to help shape the guest experience, build a high-performing team, and establish Diggers Restaurant as one of Orange's premier dining destinations.

We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and experienced hospitality professional who thrives on delivering outstanding customer experiences, developing people and driving business performance.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Diggers Restaurant, overseeing front-of-house service standards, team leadership, financial performance, and guest satisfaction.

Reporting to senior management, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the restaurant.

- Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
- Enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Can balance operational excellence with a commercial mindset.
- Proven experience managing high-volume hospitality venues.
- Strong background in restaurant operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing sales performance and labour costs.
- Experience leading and integrating front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Excellent understanding of restaurant service standards and sequence of service.
- Strong people management, coaching and performance management skills.
- Ability to work across a flexible roster including split shifts, evenings, weekends and peak hospitality periods.
- Skilled presentation and a commitment to high service standards.
- Knowledge of current hospitality and food and beverage trends.
- Barista, beverage and restaurant wait knowledge.
- Hospitality qualifications.
