Data#3 is seeking an experienced Solution or Enterprise Architect to support a strategic research technology initiative for a leading higher-education organisation.

This is a high-impact, discovery-led engagement focused on defining the future-state vision, operating model and roadmap for research technology services.

About the Role

n

Working closely with researchers, business stakeholders and enterprise architecture teams, you will help shape the organisation's approach to research computing, storage, data management and supporting services.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Understanding researcher needs, pain points and technology consumption patterns.
n
- Assessing the current research technology landscape, including compute, storage, data management and supporting processes.
n
- Defining a future-state architecture and operating model for research technology services.
n
- Identifying opportunities for automation across provisioning, governance, monitoring and lifecycle management.
n
- Developing approaches to improve utilisation,



visibility and cost management of research compute and storage resources.
n
- Establishing architectural options, recommendations and a practical roadmap for future investment.
n
- Defining the service, support and governance capabilities required to operate the future state.
n

What We're Looking For

n

- Strong Solution or Enterprise Architecture experience.
n
- Deep infrastructure expertise across cloud, compute, storage, networking and resilience.
n
- Experience developing target-state architectures, operating models and strategic roadmaps.
n
- Solid stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.
n
- Ability to balance technology strategy with business and user outcomes.
n
- Experience in higher education, research organisations, HPC, NCI or research data environments will be highly regarded.
