The Clinic 279 is a highly regarded medical practice Melbourne’s northern suburbs. It was first established in 1939 and from that time, all that work at our clinic have been committed to delivering excellence in patient care.

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team on a full time basis, with an immediate start available.

Supported by our four GPs and front-desk staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of the smooth running of our nursing services, essential to the delivery of excellent Primary Care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Contribution to the Practice leadership team including a commitment to ensuring high quality care, managing strategic change and supporting Practice sustainability
- Nurturing & building your skills in order to deliver quality patient care
- Driving a positive and cohesive culture to ensure performance, efficiency and adherence to policies across the team.
- Implementation of Chronic Disease Management programs to support patient care and reduce the administrative burden on GPs
- Wound care skills
- Immunisation
- Stock control and ordering within budget




- Cold Chain Management including Vaccine storage and ordering
- Assisting the Practice Accreditation Process as required (next in 3 years)
- Contribution to risk management and quality improvement processes
- Communicating with various organisations such as hospitals, local health services and the NWPHC

Essential Skills

- Current RN registration with AHPRA
- Commitment to high standards of patient care/clinical excellence
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility and a positive approach to change
- Ability to work independently as well as a team
- Experience providing nursing care in a General Practice setting
- Experience in program co-ordination/oversight eg CVC, CDM
- Immunisation Accreditation Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
