General Labourer

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team at a busy sawmill.

n

This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors and being part of a team. Previous sawmill experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided to the right person.

n

This position is a permanent position and the hours will be 7am start and a 4pm finish Monday - Thursday. 7am-1:30pm finish on Fridays!

n

Duties include:

n

n
- General labouring and manual handling
n
- Assisting with timber processing and production
n
- Stacking, sorting and moving timber
n
- Keeping the yard and work areas clean and organised
n
- Operating basic equipment and machinery after training
n
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
n
- Other general duties as required
n

About you:

n

n
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
n
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
n
- Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
n
- Works well independently and as part of a team
n
- Previous experience in a sawmill, yard,



construction or similar environment is desirable
n
- Forklift or machinery experience is an advantage
n
