Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of the Stage 1 heap leach processing infrastructure from final construction readiness through construction, commissioning and operational handover. This is a hands‑on owner‑side project role suited to an experienced mineral processing, metallurgical, project or construction professional with practical heap leach experience. The successful candidate will take responsibility for integrating the processing, engineering and construction workstreams required to bring the Stage 1 heap leach operation into production.

Key responsibilities

- Lead delivery of the Stage 1 heap leach processing facilities and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate heap leach pad construction, earthworks, liner systems, drainage, solution collection, ponds, pumping, piping and irrigation systems.
- Coordinate the integration of ore preparation, agglomeration, stacking and heap leach operations with the overall processing system.
- Manage principal contractors, specialist subcontractors, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers and vendors.
- Oversee procurement activities, including development of scopes of work, tender evaluation, contractor selection and package award.
- Assist with the development, negotiation and administration of construction, equipment and supply contracts.
- Manage contractor performance, variations, claims and contractual deliverables.
- Coordinate construction and installation activities against approved designs, specifications, budgets and project schedules.




- Work with metallurgical and engineering consultants to resolve technical queries and optimise the practical operation of the heap leach system.
- Monitor construction QA/QC, particularly earthworks, liner installation and solution management infrastructure.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in gold heap leach processing, project delivery or operations.
- Practical understanding of heap leach design, construction, commissioning and operation.
- Experience with heap leach pads, geomembrane liners, drainage, solution collection, ponds, pumping and irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of ore preparation, agglomeration, stacking and leach solution management.
- Experience delivering mineral processing, mining or associated infrastructure projects.
- Solid contractor, consultant and vendor management experience.
- Experience in procurement, contract development, contract administration and commercial management.
- Strong project scheduling, cost control and reporting capability.
- Relevant qualifications in metallurgy, mineral processing, chemical engineering, civil engineering, construction or project management, or substantial equivalent industry experience.
- The ability to work effectively within a small owner‑led team and make practical, timely decisions.
