Intrinzic are proud to be partnering with one of the most important organisations in Australia in the search for a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer.

This organisation is a leader in the domestic payments infrastructure that this country sits on - the rails underneath the card payments, the bill payments and the real-time transfers that move money between Australians every day.

This is not a watch-the-dashboard role, and it is worth being clear about that up front. The brief is to redesign how event management works rather than administer someone else's version of it - the rules, the correlation, the severity mapping, the routing and the automation on top. Dynatrace into ServiceNow, events mapped to real business services rather than to hostnames, and a mandate to cut the noise properly. For a strong ITOM or observability person sitting in an operations seat with no authority to change anything, that is the difference.

What you will do

- Own Event Management end to end - event rules, correlation, severity mapping, prioritisation, suppression, routing and automated workflow.
- Integrate and optimise Dynatrace and ServiceNow so events land accurately and map to real applications and business services.
- Turn alerts, logs, metrics and service data into actual signals - anomalies, recurring issues, degradation and emerging risk.
- Validate, correlate and escal…?




- Build the dashboards and health reporting that support major incident detection and response.
- Push the automation further - auto-ticketing, event enrichment, correlation and remediation where it makes sense.

What you will need

- Strong hands-on ServiceNow Event Management, including event rules, alert correlation and MID Server configuration.
- Dynatrace, or a comparable observability platform used properly rather than passively.
- CMDB, CI classes and service mapping, and a real understanding of how infrastructure and applications roll up to business services.
- Analytical strength across alerts, logs and performance data. Finding the pattern, not just reading the alert.
- A background in service operations, network operations, application support or service management in a business-critical setting.
- You are based in Sydney and happy to be in the office a couple of days a week.

What will put you in front

- ServiceNow certification, particularly CIS-ITOM, or ITIL Foundation.
- Payments, banking or another heavily regulated environment.
- A noise-reduction number you can actually quote - alerts before, alerts after.
