Action Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation based in Port Curtis, Rockhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable individual who is confident handling a diverse range of freight and committed to maintaining high operational and safety standards.

About the Role

This casual position offers consistent full-time hours, working Monday to Friday on day shift. The successful candidate will play a key role in the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of freight while contributing to a safe and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a counterbalance forklift in a safe and efficient manner
- Load and unload a wide variety of freight profiles
- Move, position, and stage freight throughout the depot
- Work effectively within a busy transport and logistics workplace
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Assist with manual handling duties when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- A current and valid Forklift Licence (LF)
- Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift
- Demonstrated experience loading and unloading various freight profiles
- Strong understanding of load restraint, weight distribution, and freight handling principles
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A strong work ethic with a reliable and dependable attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional punctuality and attendance standards
