About the department

Austin Health Pathology provides services to Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women, and also numerous GPs and Specialists in the community. In addition, Austin Pathology has also taken on responsibility for a number of regional laboratories in the northwest region of Victoria. The laboratories included are Echuca, Swan Hill, Shepparton, and Mildura. Austin Pathology also provide oversight to several point-of-care sites including: Castlemaine, Seymour, Kyneton, Kerang, Cohuna and Kyabram. The anticipation is that this regional expansion will continue and more regional laboratories will become part of the Austin pathology network.

About the role

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Chemical Pathologist to join our expanding network at Austin Health Pathology to provide a diagnostic service in all aspects of Chemical Pathology.

About you

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

- Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Hold Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Chemical Pathology
- Primary medical degree(s) MB, BS or MD, or equivalent
- Must have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Chemical Pathology




- Must provide evidence of up-to-date compliance with Continued Professional Development requirements
- Must demonstrate commitment to high-quality patient care.
- Must demonstrate commitment and ongoing activity in research and/or clinical audit
