Job Description

Kaefer Integrated Services Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Darwin, NT on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects by providing expert quantity surveying and cost management expertise. The position will ideally be a local role in Darwin but working 12-hour days on site on a flexible roster. KAEFER Australia can also look at a suitably qualified person working a 2-2 roster from interstate as a secondary option.

What you'll be doing

- Lead project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the full project lifecycle
n
- Oversee progress tracking, productivity analysis, and resource utilisation to drive performance and efficiency
n
- Manage cost systems, coding structures, and ensure alignment with project budgets and client requirements
n
- Analyse scope changes and commercial impacts, implementing adjustments to cost, schedule, and forecasts
n
- Prepare and manage progress claims, variations, and supporting commercial documentation
n
- Identify project risks, delays, and cost exposures, supporting mitigation strategies and recovery plans (including EOT claims)
n
- Collaborate with planning, operations, and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making

What we're looking for

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
n
- Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
n
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost control
n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
- Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
n
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team
