This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the company's financial administration functions while working closely with senior management to support business performance and operational efficiency.

n

It will work across four different businesses - North Queensland Customs Services, Townsville Customs and Forwarding Services, Brisbane Customs and Forwarding and NQ Cargo Link.

n

We are seeking a professional who takes ownership, values accuracy, enjoys improving systems and processes, and can confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.

We have advertised for a full-time role - but will consider four days a week for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable across four businesses - North Queensland Customs Services, Townsville Customs and Forwarding Services, Brisbane Customs and Forwarding and NQ Cargo Link
n
- Processing payroll and maintaining payroll compliance
n
- Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
n
- Monitoring debtors and assisting with cash flow management
n
- Preparing BAS and supporting financial reports
n
- Month-end reconciliations and reporting
n
- Maintaining financial records and documentation
n
- Supporting management with financial analysis and business reporting
n
- Liaising with external accountants and service providers
n
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance and administration functions
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Previous experience in a senior finance, bookkeeping,



accounting or financial administration role with qualifications in Accounting or Finance
n
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
n
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software and financial systems, such as Xero
n
- Proven ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organisation
n
- Transport, logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage or warehousing industry experience is desirable
