Job Description

Our client, a leader in the Transmission & Distribution sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager for an exciting contract opportunity. This role involves overseeing a significant HV substation project, "Project Olympus", which involves installing a Dual 132kV circuit from the Royal Docks to a UKPN substation in Islington. The successful applicant will be based across various construction sites in Islington, Hackney and Tower Hamlets, with regular office attendance and some scope for home working.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Managing and overseeing HV/EHV engineering schemes, ensuring adherence to programme timelines, budgets, and quality standards
n
- Leading project teams including designers, consultants, surveyors, construction teams, and suppliers through the construction phase
n
- Coordinating day-to-day operations and activities, with regular site and office visits
n
- Managing scope change and ensuring compliance with NEC Contracts
n
- Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations
n




- Utilising strong people skills to liaise with various stakeholders and team members
n
- Providing regular project updates and reports to senior management
n

Job Requirements:

n

n
- Experience in project or contract management within the HV/EHV engineering sector
n
- Proficiency in handling high voltage cable schemes (132kV, 66kV, 33kV is desirable)
n
- Detailed knowledge of NEC Contracts
n
- Fluency in CDM regulations
n
- Proven streetworks and highways experience
n
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks and responsibilities
