Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Service Manager, this role is integral to the delivery of high-quality dietetic care across the Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Division.

Key responsibilities

- Provide education and counselling to patients and caregivers, and prescribe appropriate nutrition support to optimise health and functional outcomes.
n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement and evaluate therapy programs and contribute to quality and service improvement activities.
n
- Supervise AHP1 Dietitians and students on clinical placement, supporting the development of high skilled and clinical standards within the department.
n
- Liaise with Food Services providers, maintain relevant work statistics,



and represent the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at internal and external forums as required.

What you need

n

n
- Relevant degree and eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
n
- Demonstrated clinical experience managing complex and diverse patient presentations, including elderly, palliative and rehabilitation patients, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
n
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of staff and patient care.
