This is where our Senior Lending Managers play a critical role.

About the role

n

Working closely with mortgage brokers and service providers this role is responsible for delivering great outcomes to our accredited broker partners and their customers. This role is a relationship focused credit assessment role which will see the ideal candidate willing to engage with broker partners on the phone every day.

n

The Senior Lending Manager will maintain ownership of individual files from lodgment through credit assessment, loan documentation and loan settlement which includes:

- Responding to lending scenarios
n
- Reviewing each loan file to verify that supporting documents are present, accurate, and complete before credit underwriting
n
- Executing on a delegated lending authority
n
- Working with valuers, solicitors, and other business partners to create efficiency
n
- Overseeing the loan process through mortgage software system
n
- Ensuring that loan rules, obligations, and deadlines are met
n
- Supporting brokers with their applications to ensure files meet SLA's and key settlement timeframes
n
- Providing brokers ongoing communication and support throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects

About you

You are currently working in a lending or credit assessment role within a lender or a mortgage broking firm.

n

You bring the following skills and experience:

n

n
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience with mortgage loan decisioning preferred
n
- Have held a Delegated Lending Authority of at least $1m
n
- Experience with non-bank mortgage lending would be preferred
n
- Experience with Simpology Loan App would be highly regarded
n
- Solid understanding of mortgage lending credit policies, processes, and products
n
- Sound understanding of the National Consumer Credit Act
n
- Working knowledge of financial institution operational and compliance requirements
n
- Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills, a genuine willingness to pick up the phone to find solutions
n
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
n
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- A true solution focus to credit assessment
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- Ability to multi-task
n
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
n
- Adaptable with a strong ability to navigate and learn new systems and processes
n
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking well regarded
