L&D; Micro Tunnelling are seeking a Fitter & Machinist to join our team. We are based in Carrum Downs and work on civil construction projects throughout Victoria, primarily around Melbourne, Gippsland and the southeast suburbs.
This is a casual position for 3-6 months. Typical work hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with some weekends and overtime required.
Key responsibilities
- Maintenance & assembly of drill heads & equipment
- Respond to breakdowns on-site
- Work on new R&D; tunnelling equipment
About you
- White Card or red card
- Australian trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade (Fitter & Machinist) with a Minimum of 2-year experience trade qualified
- Robust ability to read, interpret and apply technical and engineering drawings
- Adept in Mig welding, fabrication, Manual lathe and Milling machines
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be innovative
- Own reliable transport
- Physically fit
- Available to work Monday to Friday
- Reliable, hardworking, motivated and willing to learn new skills and add value to the team
- Excellent pay rates and immediate start
