Job Description
Early Childhood Teacher (Kindergarten) Part-Time commence 2027
n
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our highly regarded community kindergarten.
n
The teaching position will commence from the 2027 kindergarten year and involves leading the Lorikeets Group, a Thursday and Friday Long Day Kindergarten Program run during 4 terms per year (children currently attend 8.30am to 4pm). Minimum hours will be 39 hours per fortnight which includes both non-contact and program delivery.
n
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you are a valued member of the community and will lead and deliver the Kindergarten Program within a nurturing, play-based environment. The role is responsible for delivering a high-quality educational experience that supports children's learning, development, and wellbeing.

For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to explore a Co-Director role either upon commencement or as a future career pathway.

Key responsibilities
n
Lead and deliver the Lorikeets Group Thursday-Friday Long Day Kindergarten Program
n
Deliver a high-quality kindergarten program aligned with the EYLF and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG)
n
Create engaging and inclusive learning environments that inspire curiosity, imagination, and confidence
n
Build strong and respectful partnerships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community
n
Support a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in early childhood education
n
Contribute positively to the close-knit team and nurturing kindergarten culture
n
About you
n
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
n
Current Queensland Teacher Registration (or eligibility to obtain)
n
Current Blue/ Exemption Card
n
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, National Child Safety training or able to complete before commencement
n
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and QKLG
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
A collaborative approach and genuine passion for community-based early childhood education
n
An interest in leadership and service development (desirable)
