Projects Superintendent | Mechanical Maintenance

About The Role

MFE is entering an exciting period of growth and we’re looking for an experienced Projects Superintendent to take ownership of mechanical maintenance delivery across our operations.

This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership role, working closely with our clients, Supervisors and trades to ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll take operational ownership of mechanical maintenance activities, supporting our teams across planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, shutdowns and minor project works.

This isn’t an office-only leadership position. You’ll spend approximately 60% of your time in the field, providing technical support, resolving issues and staying connected to our clients and workforce.

With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by:

- Leading mechanical maintenance activities and field teams
- Planning and coordinating labour, resources and maintenance priorities
- Providing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting
- Managing costs, schedules and operational requirements
- Maintaining strong HSE and quality standards
- Building strong client relationships




- Supporting shutdowns and minor project works as required
- Driving continuous improvement across maintenance delivery

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role

- Trade background in mechanical fitting, fabrication or piping
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience within oil & gas, resources or heavy industry
- Superintendent or strong Senior Supervisor-level experience
- Experience leading maintenance teams in operational environments
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- A hands-on, field-focused leadership style
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
