SOTA Tractors, Australia's original small acreage specialist, is looking for a friendly and capable person to join our team in a varied role focused primarily on spare parts. The role includes responding to spare-parts enquiries by phone and email, processing and fulfilling orders received through our online shop and interstate branches and assisting with tractor and implement sales.

We are seeking someone with a genuinely customer-oriented approach who enjoys communicating and takes responsibility for seeing enquiries and orders through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter, or someone with strong technical aptitude, who wants to develop their knowledge of tractors, agricultural machinery, and implements.

You will help customers identify and order the correct parts, manage orders from enquiry through to dispatch, and provide helpful, reliable service throughout the process.

The position is based at our main reception desk, where you will also answer incoming calls, welcome a relatively small number of visitors and assist with incoming tractor and implement sales enquiries.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Helping customers identify the correct spare parts
- Responding to telephone, email and online parts enquiries
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders
- Processing orders for SOTA’s interstate branches
- Picking, packing and arranging the shipment of parts
- Receiving stock and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Assisting with stocktakes and replenishment
- Keeping customers informed about their enquiries and orders

You will also:

- Provide friendly and helpful first-contact customer service
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Welcome and assist visitors
- Respond to incoming tractor and implement sales enquiries
- Provide initial product information and prepare quotations




- Follow up sales enquiries and refer customers to the appropriate branch when required
- Occasionally assist with basic implement assembly or pre-delivery work

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys helping customers and takes pride in providing excellent service
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing
- Has strong technical or mechanical aptitude
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Is organised, reliable and attentive to detail
- Can manage several enquiries and orders without losing track of them
- Works well independently while also contributing to a small team

Previous experience in spare parts, agricultural machinery, automotive parts, mechanical equipment or a related field would be highly regarded—but knowledge of tractors is not essential if you have the right aptitude and willingness to learn.

You may have a mechanical background and be looking to step away from full-time workshop work without leaving the hands-on side behind entirely.

A current driver's licence is required. A forklift licence would be well regarded but is not essential.
