As a Gardener and/or Maintenance Worker you will help create and maintain beautiful, safe, and inviting spaces for our residents while supporting the ongoing upkeep of the facility and our grounds. The role will involve both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, helping to identify and address issues before they become problems, as well as responding to repairs and maintenance requests as they arise.

Every task you do—from pruning a garden to fixing a pathway—contributes to the comfort, safety, and happiness of those we care for.

From mowing, pruning and maintaining gardens to completing repairs,

Key Responsibilities – Handyperson / Maintenance:

- Perform basic maintenance tasks: painting, minor repairs, cleaning, carpet/window care
- Assist with moving furniture, event setup, and general labour tasks
- Support maintenance of outdoor areas, including gardening/landscaping
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment.

Key Performance Areas include:

- Ensures the highest standards of practice in accordance with OHS regulations
- Compliance with the Aged Care Standards, Yallambee’s Policies and Procedures and Yallambee’s Vision, Mission and Values Policy.
- Ensures a safe working and living environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

You will Bring:

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and adaptability to various weather conditions
- Good communication, reliability, and punctuality
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or maintenance is a bonus but not essential

All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a valid NDIS Workers Screening Check, evidence of 2026 influenza vaccination and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
