About the role

Make a meaningful difference supporting Aboriginal men and families to achieve safer, stronger futures.

The Caseworker Men's Family Violence provides culturally secure, responsive case management to Aboriginal men who use, or are at risk of using, family violence. Working closely with clients, families and key services, you will support behaviour change, reduce risk and help strengthen family and community safety.

This is a full-time ongoing position based at our Mildura office location.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide culturally appropriate case management, support and advocacy to men using violence.




- Complete risk and needs assessments and develop individualised case plans.
- Support clients to identify goals, build protective factors and develop exit plans.
- Coordinate referrals to behaviour change, housing, homelessness, police, courts and other support services.
- Monitor client risk and elevate safety concerns appropriately.
- Build strong relationships with internal programs, community services and Family Violence Networks.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

- Experience in case management, assessment and working with clients with complex needs.
- An understanding of family violence, risk assessment and intervention approaches.
- Strong communication, engagement and advocacy skills.
- The ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, families and stakeholders.
- Certificate IV qualification, relevant experience, or a Diploma in Welfare, Community Services or a related field.

Other Requirements

- Current National Police Check.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's Licence
