Job Description

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting our customers and internal stakeholders to drive sales growth, maintain strong gross profit margins, and deliver exceptional customer experience.
n
This position is responsible for managing one of our largest government uniform accounts - a major NSW state agency - supporting stock forecasting and planning in collaboration with the Demand Planning team, and working cross-functionally to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of uniform solutions. Based in our Surry Hills office, the role supports a large-scale government customer base within a hybrid working structure, with robust support from our Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage and monitor customer sales performance, driving order growth and maintaining gross profit targets.
n
- Develop and maintain accurate stock forecasts and buy plans in collaboration with the Demand Planning team, ensuring alignment with customer KPIs.
n
- Manage range plans and provide product recommendations, driving design conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Monitor weekly sales data, order volumes and financial outcomes, proactively identifying opportunities for growth or margin improvement.
n
- Monitor back order reports and track performance against contracted KPIs, flagging and addressing any areas at risk of default.
n
- Assist with client and internal reporting as required.
n
- Work closely with internal teams including Design and Product, Production, Supply Chain and Customer Service to deliver integrated customer solutions.
n
- Partner with Customer Service to deliver outstanding day-to-day client support and resolve issues efficiently.
n
- Actively participate in Sales and Operations meetings, contributing insights and tracking key milestones in production and delivery.
n
- Acquire and maintain a strong working knowledge of the company's ERP system (training provided).
n
- Manage client communications including pricing updates, account queries, site access and troubleshooting.
n
- Support uniform fittings as required.
n
- Contribute to the successful implementation of new customer contracts alongside the Project Manager.
n
- Liaise with the Production team regarding product sourcing, embroidery setup and sample management.
n
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the broader Account Management team.

Skills and Experience
n
n
- Minimum of five years' experience managing customer account strategies within the corporate apparel or uniform industry (essential).
n
- Proven ability to grow, develop and sustain long-term client partnerships.
n
- Experience managing large-scale or government customer portfolios, including performance against contracted KPIs.
n
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated experience managing sales performance and gross profit margins.
n
- Experience in stock forecasting, buy planning and working with demand planning functions.
n
- Confident working with ERP systems and sales reporting tools; strong Excel skills.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal teams, clients and suppliers.
n
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to customer experience.
