About the role
High Street Dental Practice is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant Trainee to join our friendly team.
This is a part time position and would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing things well, and is looking to build a long-term career in the dental industry.
Previous dental experience is welcome but not essential for the right person, as training can be provided.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting dentists during a wide range of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
- Following infection control and sterilisation procedures carefully
- Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Maintaining clean, organised treatment rooms and clinical areas
- Assisting with stock and inventory
- Helping with reception and administrative duties when required
- Undertaking on-the-job training and developing your dental assisting skills
What we're looking for

- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
- A supportive team player with a positive attitude
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Genuinely interested in developing a career in dentistry
Previous experience in dental, healthcare, reception, hospitality or customer service would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Availability
Applicants must have the flexibility to work rostered shifts between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, on days you work.
