Overview:

Reporting directly to the Head of International Operations, the successful candidate will provide investment administration services to clients of Shaw and Partners international account holders. The role is very broad and will require management and prioritization of many concurrent tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support and monitor the key functions of International Orders, Settlements, Transfers, Corporate Actions, FX and Account opening.
- Trade verification and control or operational investigation of trade related settlement issues
- Ensure best practices are followed while mitigating Operational, Reputational and Financial risk.
- Ensure that Middle office controls are performed such as trade activity and position/risk reconciliations.
- Contribute to middle office initiatives, global/local system roll outs or projects. Assist management on requirements gathering migration and UAT.




- Co-ordination with other support and control divisions such as Finance, Compliance, and other Middle office functions
- Product Control other related departments on resolutions of day-to-day issues.
- Liaising with our Broker/Custodian regarding all International matters.
- Supporting Advisors and Desk Assistants with any International related matters.
- Maintain and update procedures and processes relating to International Operations.

Requirements:

- Degree in Finance or other relevant tertiary qualification (or nearing completion)
- Previous experience in financial services, ideally in International Equities Middle Office environment would be beneficial, but not essential
- Self-driven with a strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and enjoys problem solving.
- Strong analytic skills and ability to quickly learn new products and systems. Can thrive in a challenging constantly changing environment.
- A dynamic and hardworking person, with a strong character and excellent inter-personal skills.
- Outgoing robust personality required due to coping with high volumes & changing demands.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office based programs.
- Would suit an individual from a broking, Custodian or Wealth Platform background.

- The successful candidate needs to have strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to multitask. The role is fast paced and involves collaboration across several internal departments.
- Relationship building skills are also essential as the successful candidate will be required to liaise and work with both internal and external parties.
