Housekeeping & Maintenance Couple - Private Residence

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified couple to join the household team of a beautiful private residence in Toorak, Melbourne. The roles will be divided between housekeeper and maintenance/handyman responsibilities, although both applicants should be willing to assist one another and work collaboratively as required. The successful candidates will work closely with the Manager as part of a small, professional and friendly team.

Key responsibilities

Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the residence

Cleaning and caring for bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen and other household spaces

Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and detailed cleaning

Laundry assistance

Basic food preparation and occasional assistance with meals and entertaining

Assisting with preparation of the residence for guests and special occasions

Ensuring the home is always presented to an exceptionally high standard

Maintenance / Handyman:

General maintenance and upkeep of the residence, and exterior areas

Carrying out routine repairs and preventative maintenance

General handyman duties, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing-related tasks where appropriately qualified

Maintenance and care of household equipment,



fixtures and fittings

Cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas, equipment and facilities

Identifying maintenance issues and notifying House Manager for repairs

General property duties to ensure the residence remains safe, functional and beautifully presented

Assisting with preparation of the residence for guests and special occasions

About you

Energetic, reliable and hardworking

Experienced in private household, hospitality, property maintenance or similar environments

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Discreet, trustworthy and respectful of privacy

Well-presented and professional

Practical and willing to take initiative

Comfortable working independently while also being part of a small team

Flexible and happy to assist with duties outside their primary responsibilities when required

Passionate about maintaining a beautiful home and property to a high standard

A trade qualification or strong practical background in general equipment and property maintenance will be highly regarded
