We are looking for a Housekeeping & Reception Guest Service Agent to join our team at Bluegum Dubbo, 109 Cobra Street, Dubbo, NSW — a 4.5-star boutique motel in the heart of Dubbo, known for high occupancy, strong guest satisfaction and a collaborative management culture.

Role overview

n

This is a hands-on support role in a busy motel, working alongside a small management team. Housekeeping is the core of the role, supported by reception duties and occasional management relief coverage — a genuine opportunity to make an impact and to develop reception and relief management skills.

Key responsibilities

n

Housekeeping — the core of the role

n

- Service and clean guest rooms for daily turnover
n
- Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout
n
- Check and restock cleaning supplies as needed
n
- Flag any maintenance issues to management
n
- Work independently during your scheduled shifts
n

n

Reception support

n

n
- Answer phones and take messages
n
- Help with guest check-ins and check-outs
n
- Assist with booking systems under guidance
n
- Light admin and general reception tasks
n

n

Relief duties are not a primary focus — they come as needed and develop gradually as you learn our systems.

- Occasional coverage when management takes days off or leave
n
- On-call support once you are confident with the systems
n

n

Who we are looking for

- Housekeeping or hospitality experience (motel, hotel or similar)
n
- Strong attention to detail and high standards
n
- A reliable, professional and friendly approach
n
- The ability to work independently
n
- Comfortable with flexibility — weekends and occasional relief duties
n
- Basic phone and email skills
n
- Experience in reception or front-desk work
n
- Familiarity with booking systems or hospitality software
n
- A willingness to learn and adapt
n
- A problem-solving attitude
n
- Australian residency or a valid work visa
n

Hours and location
