We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in our Springvale, VIC office. This full-time role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements
Perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management
Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and discrepancies
Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
What We Look For
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field is desirable
