Safety Coordinator | Sydney | Tier 1 Construction

An industry-leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking a motivated and practical Safety Coordinator to join their Sydney team on a full-time permanent basis. Working closely with project teams, you will play a key role in promoting safe work practices, supporting day-to-day site safety requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects across Sydney. Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects throughout Sydney
n
- Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
n
- Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors
n
- Assist project teams with risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), incident investigations and corrective actions
n
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
n
- Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes
n
- Deliver safety guidance, coaching and education to project teams and subcontractors
n




- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through effective communication and engagement
n
- Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
n
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
n
- Build strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders
n

Requirements

n

n
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
n
- 3-5+ year's experience in a Safety Coordinator, Safety Advisor or similar construction safety role
n
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites
n
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and industry best practice
n
- Experience using Microsoft Office and safety management systems
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
n
- Proactive, professional and team-oriented approach
n
