Our projects support utility, renewable energy, battery storage and other high-voltage infrastructure sectors, with services spanning technical design coordination, manufacturing interface, testing, delivery, installation and project support.

Due to continued growth in our Australian project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering to join our project team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role combines specialist power transformer and high-voltage electrical engineering expertise with technical project delivery responsibilities.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout transformer projects, from specification and design review to manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Review customer technical specifications and incorporate them into electrical engineering requirements for transformer projects.
- Review transformer designs, drawings, schematics and technical documentation for compliance with project specifications and applicable engineering standards.
- Coordinate technical design reviews with customers, manufacturers and other project stakeholders.
- Provide specialist electrical engineering advice relating to power transformers and HV, MV and LV electrical systems.
- Identify and resolve design deviations, non-conformances and complex technical issues.
- Provide technical leadership throughout transformer projects from contract award through design, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and final handover.
- Review and coordinate FAT,



SAT and high-voltage testing requirements and assess test results against engineering and project requirements.
- Provide engineering oversight during transformer installation, commissioning and post-delivery activities.
- Provide technical direction to Project Engineers and coordinate project engineering input from external consultants and Project Coordinators.
- Support the technical aspects of tenders, proposals and customer engagement activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional electrical engineering experience, including substantial experience in the power transformer or high-voltage electrical infrastructure sector.
- Strong experience with power transformers, HV/MV/LV systems, technical specification review and electrical design review.
- Demonstrated experience across transformer project delivery, including manufacturing, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning and high-voltage testing.
- Solid knowledge of applicable Australian and international electrical engineering standards and industry practices.
- Proven technical leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
