Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics | Melbourne

An exceptional opportunity is now available for an experienced Registered Nurse working in Theatres to join a private hospital in Melbourne, specialising in Anaesthetics. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis (0.6 FTE or more) and is ideal for a nurse looking to further develop their expertise in anaesthetic care.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a RegisteredNurse inthe Anaesthetics team, you will playa vital rolein delivering high-quality patient carethroughout the perioperativejourney. Workingalongside leading surgeons, anaesthetists and perioperativeprofessionals, you willcontribute to exceptionalpatient outcomes ina fast-pacedand rewarding workplace.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

- Delivering evidence-basednursing care inaccordance with bestpractice standards;
- Supporting patients throughouttheir surgical journey;
- Collaborating effectivelywith multidisciplinaryteams;
- Maintaining safe clinicalenvironments forpatients and staff;
- Supervising and supportingEnrolled Nurses andother team members;
- Providing patient educationand clinical supportthroughout recovery andrehabilitation;
- Conducting comprehensivepatient assessments andmonitoring care outcomes;
- Maintaining accurate andtimely clinical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

- Current AHPRA registration;
- 2 years of experience as an RN Anaesthetics / Recovery or have completed a graduate year in an acute hospital with rotation through Theatre;
- Ability to manage difficult intubation, use of fibre optic equipment,



and experience in regional blocks;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION

Salaries range between $41.90 and $53.69 + 12.5% Super.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 bedsthat provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has8 surgical wards with various specialties, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery.
