The Health, Safety & Quality Officer supports the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and enhancing M. Tucker & Sons Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System. This is a varied role combining office-based administration with regular field work across operational sites and project locations, ensuring the business remains compliant with legislative requirements and internal management systems while driving a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct workplace inspections and site safety audits across multiple work sites
- Complete field observations and verify compliance with company procedures
- Assist with maintaining the company's Integrated Management System
- Undertake quality assurance inspections and compliance audits
- Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews and hazard management
- Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Process HSEQ documentation, reports and compliance records
- Assist with maintaining training, licensing and competency records




- Prepare audit reports and assist with continuous improvement initiatives

About you

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety, HSEQ or Compliance role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Confidence working independently across multiple locations
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Experience within the civil construction, waste management, infrastructure or environmental services industries (desirable)

Full-time position on a 12 month contract. This is a recent role and there is potential to extend to a permanent role.
