Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre Nurse Full Time / Part Time

We are seeking a talented and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team as a Scrub / Scout. This full-time or part-time role will be based in our state-of-the-art facility located in Woolloongabba, QLD. As a Scrub / Scout at South Brisbane Day Hospital, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality, compassionate patient care throughout the surgical journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and maintaining the operating theatre environment to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
- Assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures, ensuring the smooth running of operations
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and providing immediate nursing care as required
- Accurately documenting all relevant patient information and surgical details
- Restocking and maintaining surgical equipment and supplies
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and infection control protocols
- Actively participating in continuous learning and professional development opportunities

What we' re looking for

- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration




- Preferred Minimum 2 years' experience working in an operating theatre or similar acute care setting but not essential - training provided for the right candidate
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering safe, effective and compassionate patient care
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of infection control and workplace safety
- Passion for ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team
