Job Description
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing month-end and year-end processes, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll-related accounting, reconciliations, reporting and compliance. This is a practical role suited to someone who is comfortable managing the day-to-day accounting function while also providing Management with transparent financial reporting and commercial insight. You will work closely with the Managing Director, COO and other departments across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance functions of the business.

- Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow reports.

- Complete month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and on time.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
n
- Manage bank, credit card and balance-sheet reconciliations.
n
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
n
- Monitor customer accounts, outstanding debts and supplier payments.
n
- Manage cash-flow forecasting and provide regular updates to Management.
n
- Prepare and review BAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements.
n
- Assist with payroll processing, payroll reconciliations, superannuation and employee-related accounting.
