Pump Action Group is a growing concrete pumping business operating across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. As we continue to expand our team and fleet, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety & Human Resources Officer to help strengthen our safety systems, support our people, and ensure our compliance remains at a high standard.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently manage both workplace health and safety and the day-to-day HR requirements of a busy construction-based business.

The Role

n

You will work closely with management, operations and our field teams across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

- Manage and maintain company WHS systems, policies and procedures
n
- Ensure employee, plant and company documentation remains current and compliant
n
- Manage site and client safety-platform requirements, inductions and documentation
n
- Conduct workplace inspections, toolbox talks and safety audits
n
- Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions and reporting
n
- Monitor licences, tickets, training and competency requirements
n
- Coordinate employee onboarding and inductions
n
- Prepare employment documentation, contracts and employee records
n
- Assist managers with performance management,



disciplinary matters and employee issues
n
- Manage recruitment support and new-starter processes
n
- Track employee training and development requirements
n
- Assist with HR policies, procedures and general employee relations
n
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting to management
n
- Help build a strong culture of accountability, safety, respect and high performance
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is:

n

n
- Experienced in WHS, HR or a combined Safety/People role
n
- Familiar with the construction, civil, transport or heavy-equipment industries
n
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
n
- Confident dealing with both employees and senior management
n
- Comfortable holding people accountable when standards are not met
n
- Able to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion
n
- A strong communicator with practical problem-solving skills
n
- Proactive rather than someone who waits to be told what needs doing
n

n

Experience with construction safety platforms, employee-management systems and compliance documentation will be highly regarded.

n

Relevant WHS and/or HR qualifications are preferred.
