Position Overview

- Position Title: School Cleaner
- Workload FTE: 20hrs/week (0.53FTE) 3pm - 7pm
- Employment Basis: Permanent Part Time
- Anticipated Start Date: As soon as available
- Pay: $35.05 per hour

Role

Join our dedicated Facilities team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our campus.
This is a permanent part-time position offering consistent year-round employment, providing the stability of regular hours and ongoing work throughout the year. As a permanent employee, you will have access to paid annual leave, personal (sick) leave and other entitlements, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking reliable, long-term employment within a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities





- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, and communal areas
- Replenish supplies and follow established cleaning schedules and procedures
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are sanitized and presentable
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Support College events and activities with additional cleaning as required
- Work collaboratively with the Facilities team to uphold College standards

Selection Criteria

The successful applicants will have:

- A commitment to the Christian ethos and College values
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning (educational setting preferred)
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to safe work practices and reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly

Please note: Successful applicants must hold a valid Working with Children Check Blue Card, prior to starting work and have the legal right to work in Australia.
