The primary duties of the Engineer are:

n

Develop practical and effective engineering solutions for materials handling applications.

n

Produce mechanical designs, drawings, and models using SolidWorks and DraftSight.

n

Liaise with manufacturing personnel to support fabrication and assembly activities.

n

Perform Engineering/Design Calculations & FEA where required.

n

Adherence to Australian standards & positive engineering practice.

n

Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.

n

Desirable skills required for this role include:

Strong mechanical aptitude with sound fundamentals in solid mechanics and thermal/fluid concepts, applied to real‐world engineering problems.

n

Ability to apply engineering concepts to practical, real‐world problems.

n

Practical understanding of fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes, with an ability to design-for-manufacture.

n

Willingness to learn, improve, and contribute positively as part of a team.

n

Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with tradesman, customers, management.

n

Proficient in Microsoft Office package

n

Commitment to quality and professionalism, with pride taken in delivering sound engineering outcomes.

n

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering preferred; applicants with a Diploma in Engineering and strong, demonstrable practical engineering and fabrication experience will also be considered.
