Key Responsibilities

- Deliversafe,evidence-basedandwoman-centredmidwiferycare
- Providecareacrossantenatal,labour,birthandpostnatalstages
- Monitorandassessthewellbeingofmothersandnewborns
- Recogniseandrespondappropriatelytochangesinmaternalorneonatalcondition
- Supportwomenandfamiliesthroughinformeddecision-makingandtheirindividualbirthjourney
- Provideeducationrelatingtopregnancy,childbirth,breastfeedingandnewborncare
- Maintainaccurateclinicalrecordsandfollowprofessionalandorganisationalstandards
- Collaborateeffectivelywithmedical,nursing,neonatalandalliedhealthprofessionals
- Contributetoarespectful,supportiveandpatient-focusedmaternityenvironment
- Participateinclinicaleducation,professionaldevelopmentandspecialtypracticeopportunities




- Supportstudentsandgraduatemidwivesthroughmentoringandclinicalguidance

Requirements & Eligibility

- CurrentAHPRAregistrationasaRegisteredMidwife
- RecognisedqualificationinMidwifery
- Demonstratedcommitmenttohigh-quality,evidence-basedmaternitycare
- Strongcommunicationandinterpersonalskills
- Abilitytoworkcollaborativelywithinamultidisciplinaryteam
- Commitmenttoongoingprofessionaldevelopmentandlifelonglearning
- Experienceinbirthsuite,antenatal,postnatalorspecialcarenurseryishighlyregarded
- Abilitytoworkinpermanentfull-time,part-timeorcasualemployment
