We are looking for a capable and motivated Management Couple to join us at Moondarra Caravan Park in Mount Isa.

This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role for two people who work well together and enjoy being involved in all aspects of running an accommodation property.

Moondarra is more than a traditional caravan park. We accommodate a mix of workforce guests, longer-term residents and travellers, which makes the role busy, varied and rewarding. We need managers who can keep things organised, maintain high standards and build good relationships with guests, staff and clients.

What the role involves

As the onsite management team, you will have responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the park.

Between the two of you, your responsibilities will include:

- Reception, reservations, check-ins and guest enquiries
- Managing bookings and payments through our accommodation management system
- Coordinating housekeeping and room/cabin turnarounds
- Staff rostering and day-to-day supervision
- Maintaining presentation and cleanliness standards throughout the property
- General maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Grounds and garden upkeep
- Monitoring accommodation, amenities, equipment and infrastructure
- Organising trades and contractors when required
- Purchasing, stock control and supplier coordination
- Managing workforce accommodation requirements alongside our tourist business
- Boosting occupancy
- Handling guest concerns and resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Maintaining WHS and operational standards
- Completing general administration and reporting
- Keeping an eye on costs, staffing levels and the overall efficiency of the park
- Working with the head chef/kitchen to ensure ordering, rostering etc is done to budget

This is very much a hands-on position. While you will be responsible for managing the team and overseeing operations, we are looking for people who are also happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.





One of you may naturally be stronger in maintenance, grounds and practical operations, while the other may have greater experience in reception, administration, housekeeping and customer service. We don't expect you both to do everything equally – we are looking for a couple whose skills work well together.

Who we're looking for

You may already be managing a caravan park, motel, hotel, resort or workforce accommodation facility, or you may have experience in a similar hospitality or property-management environment and be ready for your next opportunity.

Between you, we would ideally like to see:

- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Caravan park, accommodation or hospitality experience
- Experience managing staff and rosters
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good administration and computer skills
- Practical maintenance and problem-solving ability
- Experience overseeing housekeeping and property presentation
- Confidence dealing with contractors, suppliers and trades
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- The ability to prioritise and adapt when things don't go to plan
- A positive, practical and hands-on approach

Experience using RMS will be highly regarded, as will previous experience managing a property with both workforce and tourist accommodation.
