About the role

We are seeking an experienced sewing machinist to join our small, friendly team and help produce high-quality, beautifully finished Roman blinds.

Key responsibilities

- Sewing linings using an industrial plain sewing machine.
- Crease & tape linings.
- Measure and cut fabric accurately.
- Produce Roman blinds and soft furnishings to high-quality standards.
- Follow specialised methods for making Roman blinds to ensure consistency and quality.

About you

- Solid attention to detail, with a commitment to precision and exceptional workmanship
- Fluent in English, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated,

Gilligans Blinds & Custom Furnishings is a boutique workroom located in Mulgrave, specialising in custom-made Roman blinds and soft furnishings for the interior design industry.

Work Conditions

- Workroom hours - Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 4 pm & Friday: 8 am – 2 pm
- Hours are negotiable for the right applicant – 3 days to 5 days per week
- Supportive, professional, and enjoyable work environment
- Convenient Mulgrave location, close to the Monash Freeway
