Senior Financial Accountant

n As our client continues to grow, they are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the business at an exciting stage of its journey.
n Reporting directly to experienced finance leadership, you'll take ownership of core financial reporting and compliance activities while providing the commercial insights that support business performance and decision-making.
n This is a role for someone who enjoys accountability, operates with a high degree of independence, and wants to contribute beyond the numbers.
n You'll join a collaborative team where finance is viewed as a business partner, with the prospect to influence reporting, improve processes, and support the organisation as it continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Own month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
n
- Prepare management reports, financial analysis and performance insights
n
- Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Manage statutory compliance obligations, including BAS, payroll tax and FBT
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities
n
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insights and support decision-making
n
- Assist with external audits and maintain a strong controls environment
n
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and processes
n
- Contribute to projects that support business growth and operational efficiency
n

About You

n





We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical capability with the ability to understand how financial performance translates into business outcomes.

You'll bring:

n

n
- CA or CPA qualification
n
- Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role within a commercial environment
n
- Strong financial reporting, compliance and technical accounting expertise
n
- Experience providing analysis and insights that support operational and commercial decision-making
n
- The ability to build effective relationships across the business
n
- NetSuite experience
n
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes
n
- A resilient and adaptable approach in a changing setting
n
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
n
- A proactive approach to improving processes, reporting and controls
n
