Our opportunity

Join our Brisbane office as an Active Directory and M365 Administrator, reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support and continuous improvement of Lactalis’ Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environment, helping maintain a secure, reliable and scalable identity and collaboration infrastructure. Working closely with local and global IT teams, business project managers and third-party vendors, you will support the delivery of Microsoft 365 services, resolve complex technical issues and ensure global standards are aligned with local business needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, support and continuously improve the organisation’s Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environment.
- Maintain the operational condition of Active Directory and related infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and performance.
- Define and enhance Microsoft on-premise architecture, including documentation of technical architecture, system configurations and changes.
- Implement identity security controls, including tiering, hardening, delegation models, conditional access and security architecture.
- Develop,



execute and monitor remediation plans to address infrastructure, access, security or operational risks.
- Act as the final level of support for incidents within the Active Directory perimeter, including complex troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Support Office 365 migration strategies and contribute to their successful implementation.
- Administer, secure and audit Microsoft 365 services, including Azure AD, Exchange and related collaboration technologies.
- Use PowerShell scripting and automation to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and support repeatable administration processes.
- Work with business project managers to understand requirements and translate them into practical M365 and identity management solutions.
- Collaborate with local and global IT teams, internal customers and third-party vendors to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Apply Microsoft best practices and security recommendations across Active Directory, Azure AD and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.

About You A successful candidate for this role is someone who is technically strong, security-minded and comfortable working across both local and global IT environments. You will bring strong troubleshooting capability, sound judgement and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering reliable support to internal customers. This Position Is Ideal For An Applicant With

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in Active Directory, Microsoft 365 or systems administration roles.
- Strong proficiency across Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Azure AD, M365,



Exchange and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with the ability to automate routine administration tasks and improve process efficiency.
- Practical experience with identity security, conditional access, security architecture, tiering, hardening and delegation models.
- Experience supporting or implementing Office 365 migrations, ideally using tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz.
- Strong understanding of identity federation, single sign-on and modern access management practices.
- Proven ability to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a secure and timely manner.
- Strong documentation skills, including technical architecture, system configuration, process and change documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach, with a strong customer service mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and global IT teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors.

Desirable

- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an international or global IT environment.
- Exposure to security, compliance, risk management and audit practices across Microsoft identity and collaboration platforms.
- Experience supporting change management, technical documentation, user support or knowledge transfer activities.
