Our District’s Oral Health (Dental) services are provided to eligible patients at the following locations: Nepean Centre for Oral Health, Blue Mountains Hospital Dental Clinic, Hawkesbury Dental Clinic, and the Lithgow Hospital Dental Clinic. The team offers public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures.
Play an integral role in supporting the delivery of quality oral health services as an Administration Officer within a busy and patient-focused environment.
In this diverse role, you will manage enquiries through the Oral Health Call Centre, coordinate appointments and waiting lists, maintain accurate patient records, provide reception support, generate reports, and deliver essential administrative assistance to clinicians and managers.
Your strong organisational skills and attention to detail will help ensure an efficient and positive experience for patients while contributing to the delivery of high-quality oral health care. What you will bring to the role
1. Demonstrated experience dealing with a high volume of clients face to face.
2. Demonstrated experience dealing with a high volume of clients over the telephone.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
4. Proven experience creating and maintaining health record systems.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of either medical and or dental terminology.
6. Ability to problem solve and use initiative.
7. Demonstrated experience with electronic appointment scheduling for clients, including rebooking, confirming and rescheduling and other data entry skills.
8. Proven organisational and decision based skills and the ability to meet deadlines, with limited supervision.
