About the Role

Partisan Protective Services is seeking an experienced Alarm Monitoring Room Manager to oversee the night operations of our 24/7 Security Control Room.

This is a hands-on roating shift management position and is specifically suited to an experienced alarm monitoring professional who understands the operational demands of a busy monitoring centre.

Current or very recent experience working within an alarm monitoring/control room environment is mandatory. This is not an entry-level security management position, and applicants without direct alarm monitoring experience will not be considered.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising Monitoring Operators, maintaining service standards, overseeing alarm processing and escalation, coordinating alarm responses and ensuring the Control Room operates professionally, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities The Alarm Monitoring Room Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing the Control Room during night shift operations.
- Supervising and supporting Alarm Monitoring Operators.
- Ensuring alarm events are processed promptly and correctly.
- Managing alarm response dispatches and escalation procedures.
- Ensuring operators follow client-specific action plans and SOPs.
- Monitoring operator workloads and alarm queues.
- Managing critical alarms, duress events and emergency situations.
- Liaising with mobile patrol officers, emergency services, clients, contractors and keyholders.
- Reviewing operator performance and addressing processing errors.
- Conducting quality assurance checks and event audits.
- Ensuring accurate event notes and audit trails are maintained.
- Managing shift handovers and outstanding operational matters.
- Assisting with staff training and ongoing operator competency.




- Maintaining Control Room rosters and appropriate staffing levels where required.
- Escalating major incidents to senior management.
- Assisting with client onboarding, monitoring changes and account reviews.
- Ensuring monitoring records, contacts, zone information and action plans remain accurate.
- Supporting compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant monitoring centre requirements.
- Providing reports and operational updates to senior management.

- Essential Experience & Requirements

Applicants must have

- Current or recent hands-on experience in an alarm monitoring centre/control room.
- Demonstrated experience processing and managing alarm events.
- Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience within an alarm monitoring environment.
- Strong understanding of alarm monitoring procedures and event escalation.
- Experience coordinating mobile alarm responses.
- Experience dealing with keyholders, clients and emergency services.
- Ability to manage high-priority incidents in a time-critical environment.
- Strong computer and monitoring software skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Ability to lead, coach and hold operators accountable for performance.
- Current NSW Security Licence appropriate to the position.
- Ability and willingness to work Roating shifts.

Experience with skilled alarm monitoring platforms such as CAMS or similar monitoring software will be highly regarded. The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who already understands alarm monitoring operations and can step into a management role with confidence.





You will need to be calm under pressure, operationally focused and capable of making decisions when dealing with urgent alarms, duress events, client escalations and after-hours incidents.

This position requires a manager who is prepared to be actively involved in the Control Room, rather than simply supervising from a distance. You must be comfortable assisting operators, processing events when required, managing escalations and ensuring the night shift maintains a consistently high operational standard.

Night Shift Requirement

This position is specifically a roating shift role within our 24/7 Operations Control Room.

Applicants must be comfortable working nights on an ongoing basis. The position is being recruited specifically to provide experienced management and operational leadership across our night operations.

The successful applicant must demonstrate previous experience working in a 24/7 alarm monitoring environment and an understanding of the additional responsibilities associated with managing a Control Room after hours.
