Our Recreation Facilities and Services team creates welcoming spaces where people of all ages can be active, build confidence and connect with their community. Across our aquatic facilities, the team delivers swimming education, recreation programs and customer-focused services that support healthier and safer communities.

The Opportunity

As the Aquatic Education Administration Officer, you will help keep our swimming education programs organised, welcoming and running smoothly. You will support lesson bookings, attendance records, customer enquiries, accounts and program communications, while building positive relationships with children, young people and their families.

Aquatic education experience would be a great advantage, but it is not the only pathway into this role. If you have strong customer service or administration skills, confidence using computers and a willingness to learn about aquatic education, we would love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity to step into a full-time role, develop new skills and become an important part of our aquatic education team across our Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance recreation centres.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Coordinate lesson bookings, attendance records, waitlists, online forms and aquatic education documentation.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to children, young people,



families and community groups.
- Use Council's computer systems to maintain accurate records, respond to enquiries and support swim school account management.
- Assist with program communications, newsletters, advertising and the promotion of aquatic education programs.
- Support the delivery of aquatic education programs and complete pool deck supervision or Duty Manager shifts as required.

What We're Looking For

- Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new programs and systems.
- Customer service or administration experience, with good organisation and attention to detail.
- A positive, energetic approach and the ability to build great relationships with children, young people and families.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a busy team.
- Aquatic education experience and relevant qualifications would be an advantage, or a willingness to learn and obtain the required qualifications.
