The Opportunity We have opportunities for Area Supervisors and Site Supervisors, where you'll take ownership of your area of the works and see it through — organising and supervising contracted works to safety, programme, quality and budget, and reporting to the Construction Director. It's a hands-on supervisory role on live remedial and facade projects: structural repairs, waterproofing, balcony and balustrade upgrades and cladding replacement in occupied residential and commercial buildings. You won't be carrying the whole site, but you will be accountable for your patch — the trades in it, the safety of it, and the quality of what gets handed over.

This is a genuine development role. It is the step where positive tradespeople and site engineers become supervisors, and we run it that way — with a Project Supervisor or Site Manager alongside you rather than above you.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Taking a leading role in site safety within your area — conducting HS&E; and quality inductions with all subcontractors and site labour before they start,



checking and signing off SWMS against the Buildcorp checklist, and following up on amendments.
- Observing and demonstrating safe work practices at all times, and monitoring subcontractors against the project HSE Plan — including height access (swing stages, EWPs, scaffold), containment and hazardous materials controls.
- Ensuring quality compliance in line with the Buildcorp Quality Management Guide and Quality Policy, and continually monitoring quality performance on your works.
- Undertaking day-to-day site activity to the site programme, and understanding the fortnightly and monthly programmes issued to subcontractors and the internal team.
- Completing daily site diary entries, including site inspections and inductions.
- Contributing to resolution of key project issues — finalisation plans, commissioning of services, issues with statutory bodies, and establishment and maintenance of the site compound and amenities.
- Inputting into and administering Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), including managing witness testing.
- Ordering materials, hiring equipment and arranging additional labour hire to deliver the programme, purchasing to the purchase order system, and submitting delivery dockets, receipts and invoices to the Contracts Administrator weekly.
- Receipting and quality-checking materials delivered to site.
- Obtaining sign-off and collecting day-labour sheets from subcontractors for all variations and potential variations — essential on remedial scopes where the extent of works often changes once opened up.
- Assisting the Project Supervisor with preparing scopes of work prior to letting subcontracts, and assisting in valuing subcontractor claims when required.




- Working with subcontractors to ensure they meet agreed quality and timeframes, raising issues promptly and in the appropriate manner.
- Producing defect lists for each subcontractor prior to finishing works and assisting with the inspection and sign-off process.
- Attending internal supervisory meetings, conducting safety toolbox talks and subcontractor meetings, and attending client meetings when required.

Desired Skills And Experience To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Supervisory or leading hand experience on site — or a trade background with demonstrated experience running a crew and taking responsibility for a work front.
- Exposure to remedial, facade, restoration, waterproofing or structural repair works is highly regarded; we will also consider strong candidates from commercial construction or fitout looking to specialise.
- A trade qualification (concreting, carpentry, waterproofing or similar) or a construction/engineering qualification — both paths are welcome.
- The ability to read plans, engineering details and specifications, and to raise the discrepancy early rather than after the fact.
- A proactive safety mindset, particularly around working at heights and hazardous materials.
- Good communication skills and the composure to work respectfully around residents, tenants and building managers while the works go on.
- A current driver's licence and the flexibility to move between sites across metropolitan Sydney.
