Australian Statutory, Tax & Finance SME | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
Role Overview
ALOIS is seeking an experienced Australian Statutory, Tax & Finance SME to support a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementation for a leading Australian freight and logistics organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Australian statutory, tax, and finance requirements/configuration across D365 Finance, including GL, COA, AR, AP, O2C, R2R, GST/BAS, PAYG,
FBT, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and period-end close.
- Define borrowing-base and lender reporting requirements, including calculations, reconciliations, approvals, audit trails, and parallel-run acceptance criteria.
- Identify Day 2 finance, statutory, and compliance requirements for a newly established Australian legal entity following a carve-out.
- Support D365 Finance vs Oracle fit-gap analysis from statutory, financial controls, and reporting perspectives.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and contribute to requirements, solution blueprint, and SoW preparation.
- Support ERP cutover, opening balances, first-close activities, and audit readiness.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on Australian finance implementation experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / AX 2012.
- Strong experience across GL, COA, AR, AP, O2C, R2R, GST/BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and financial close.
- Strong knowledge of Australian GAAP, AASB standards, and ATO compliance.
- Proven experience in legal entity carve-outs/separations, ERP cutovers, opening balance migration, and statutory reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
Desirable
- Experience with borrowing-base/lender reporting solutions.
- Freight, logistics, transport, or other asset-intensive industry experience.
- CA/CPA qualification.
