Are you an experienced Test Analyst with a passion for quality assurance, automation, and modern enterprise applications? We are seeking a skilled Functional Automation Test Analyst to join a major government digital transformation program delivering innovative business solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Our client is a large Federal Government organisation leading significant digital transformation initiatives. The organisation is committed to delivering modern, user-focused business solutions and is investing heavily in contemporary testing practices, automation frameworks, and DevOps capabilities to support high-quality outcomes.

The Role

As a Functional Automation Test Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering both manual and automated testing activities across enterprise applications and digital platforms. Working within a mature testing practice, you will support the testing of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Dataverse-based applications.

You will play a key role in ensuring business systems are reliable, scalable, and fit for purpose through comprehensive testing strategies, automated regression testing, and integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites




- Support testing of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
- Analyse requirements and create effective test scenarios and test plans
- Manage defects and work collaboratively with delivery teams to resolve issues
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Validate end-to-end business processes and enterprise application workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, processes, and methodologies
- Collaborate within Agile multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Dataverse
- Strong experience across UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing
- Proven hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, or similar
- Experience with API and integration testing using tools such as Postman, Newman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing
- Experience integrating automated test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps, VS Code, source control, defect management, and test reporting tools




- Solid understanding of SDLC principles and Agile delivery methodologies
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, applications, and business processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively

Desirable

- ISTQB Automation Certification or similar certification
- Experience supporting Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Power BI environments
- Experience with Jira or similar test and defect management platforms
- Federal Government project experience highly regarded
