We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR Truck Driver to join our team in Thomastown. The role will report directly to the Dispatch Supervisor.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks and deliver goods as scheduled.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and follow instructions regarding routes, schedules, and customer service.
Requirements
- Valid Truck driver's license.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.
- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in various conditions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with excellent time-management skills.
- Physical stamina for long hours on the road and occasional lifting of heavy cargo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-haul trucking or local delivery.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and electronic logging devices.
